Broll Bearmantle World of Warcraft Action Figure Review
Here we are with another World of Warcraft Action Figure Review and this time we have the legendary gladiator Broll Bearmantle. Broll is the first ever Night Elf to be immortalized in 3D, Illidan was a Demonized Night Elf just in case you're thinking he's the first night elf figure. This figure stands at 8.5" at it's highest point and features a lot of great detail which I can say doesn't disappoint us in anyway. Just a reminder, the full post is packed with lots of images so please make sure you have a decent connection. If not then we'd appreciate your patience and guarantee it's worth the wait. So what are you waiting for? Check the break for all the great shots.

Before anything else here's some info on Broll Bearmantle from the guys over at WoW Wiki:

Broll Bearmantle was born with antlers, an extremely rare gift of nature and a sign that one day he would do great deeds. For years people watched as his antlers grew and waited for him to manifest greatness.
With that over with here we go! Oh, and don't forget to click the images for a closer look. Here's the side by side look at the packaging. Sorry about the lighting on the left side it's the best shot I was able to get. But I guess you get the picture. Broll is a heavy figure which is a good thing just shows how solid he is.

All in all you have three pieces out of the box. The main figure and two pieces of his staff. I must say I'm impressed by the overall look of this figure and if you haven't guessed yet he's a druid and the theme of the figure does his class justice.

Here's the turn around of the main figure without his staff. Broll is great to look at even without his one and only accessory. The pose the sculptor chose is not the greatest but it's enough for a decent look. He looks exactly like his comic book self.

The staff is the best accessory I've seen so far in any of the figures we've reviewed. The colors and build of the sculpt really gives a wooden look to it. The blue markings on the staff is great and colored carefully. No blue colors are where they shouldn't be, no matter how small the marking is the blue color is still solid enough to see. Just look at the markings on the lower part of the staff. The upper part of the staff feels solid and the antlers give out a realistic look to it mostly because of the great combination of colors. I just feel kind of weird that the lower part of the staff isn't as solid as the upper part. It feels rubbery and actually flexes to a certain point. But it still gets the consistent wooden look as the upper part.

Here's the turn around with the staff. Broll appears to be wearing some parts of the Stormrage Raiment. Broll's last name is Bearmantle so what better way to display his heritage then dressing up classic druid style in a bear themed clothing line. As I said I'm not a big fan of the pose but it's still looking decent. His antlers are great and are solid to the touch, not too solid that it feels like it's gonna break. Just the right materials were used on it, not too solid and realistic enough. When it comes to points of articulation Broll isn't different from all the other World of Warcraft Figures we reviewed, he's just barely able to move his left arm so we can position the staff correctly. Again no articulation is just the way I like it. You wouldn't want to ruin the look of the figure by adding in joints would you?

One of the best things I like about this figure is Broll's face. The green hair though not a regular to most Night Elves looks great on him, not to mention the big antlers which make him very unique among his peers. The color of his skin is very consistent and doesn't wash on to the other parts of the head. The hair has solid detail and even has the leaves trailing from his pony tail.

The shoulder armor looks great and has crescent moons which were sculpted with great detail. The shoulder armor looks like a big bear's paw which has an authentic look to it. The claws even have scratch marks on them that gives it a more authentic look.

The hands are covered by some kind of glove that had bear inspired designs on the metal plate on the backhand. The gold color of the bear design is solid but if you take a closer look the silver seems to have spilled on the the brown color of the glove, which thankfully is hardly noticeable. The glove looks great and especially on the left hand that shows a bear hand complete with claws. As you can see his skin color is very consistent even in places that are hidden. Notice all those moon markings that seems to be branded on the fur? His elbow pads are great, they even have their own set of claws.

Broll's foot is another example of the great details on this figure. The metal knee plates go great with the overall theme of the figure. This figure is very consistent but not too consistent that every part is the same wherever you look. I'm glad the design of the knee plate is somewhat different from what we saw on the shoulder. As you can see he's wearing fur boots. Makes me want to go out and buy me a pair of my own fur boots. Just joking PETA geeks. Anyway, the boots are accented with... hhmm... I want to say teeth but I'm not really sure it kind of looks like a claw too. It looks good and that's what's important whatever it is.

Just in case you're curious. Here's the sculpt under the foot.

I'm not sure but I think druids are fond of moons. Just check out Broll's utility belt. It's got moons on the front and back. Crescent moons to be exact. The paws on the front are a great accessory to his chest which solidifies the bear theme of his clothes. On the side we've got some kind of padding designed with an owl druid style. The trailing leaves on his back braids his hair, kind of reminds me of Obi-Wan Kenobi's when he was still young.

If you're a fan of the World of Warcraft Comics Broll Bearmantle is a must have for your collection. His figure exactly resembles his look in the comic books and doesn't disappoint us in anyway be it the sculpt or the colors. You just have to get a good look at the great details on this figure to really enjoy the hard work of the artists behind it. I just hope they thought of another pose because this one seems to bore me, other than that it's a great buy down to the colors of his eyes.

@ruthavega - yup, his eyes are blue as you can see on the last image. What seems to be confusing?

Oh, ok. It's just that I thought I saw somewhere that his eyes were supposedly yellow.
