It looks like DOTA addicts are getting a bit more love because it's main developer IceFrog is cooking something up with the help of major game developer Valve. Apparently the voice actor from Duke Nukem just finished recording voice overs a couple of days ago so I guess everything's well on it's way. If you haven't realized it yet Valve is the game developer behind Half Life and a bunch of other games that you probably play but haven't taken the time to see where it came from. DOTA or Defense of the Ancients is a popular custom map that is dependent on Warcraft 3 so I guess everybody's probably going to wet their pants when they see a stand alone version of the game. I'm sure this thing would be a hit specially with IceFrog leading the way DOTA players can expect the same or even great game play only DOTA can provide. Check the break for the voice actor's tweet.

There is already a DOTA stand alone game called League of Legends and its very good.
I haven't had time to test that one out but I think the difference is IceFrog is leading the development of this new game.
This is great news. Looks like the DBG genre is exploding with new titles.
If you want the best DotA based game available right now, try Heroes of Newerth.
