After months and months of waiting we now have DC Unltd's World of Warcraft Action Figure Series 6 and first up for review we have the Forsaken Queen: Sylvanas Windrunner. I don't have to tell you guys that she's one beautiful action figure and she looks like she won't disappoint us in anyway. So what does the Forsaken Queen have in store for us in Action Figure form? Go ahead and take the jump for our image heavy review of Sylvanas Windrunner action figure.
Like always before we head on to everything about the action figure, here's a little something about the Forsaken Queen: Sylvanas Windrunner from WoWWiki.
Once the Ranger-General of Silvermoon, Sylvanas Windrunner was murdered by the death knight Arthas and brought back as a creature of undeath. After regaining her free will she rebelled against the Lich King and the Scourge and became the founder of the Forsaken faction of undead, who are allied with the Horde. She has styled herself the Dark Lady, Queen of the Forsaken, an expansion of her original title, "the Banshee Queen".
With that out of the way let's head right into all the action figure action you can shake a stick at. Here's a look at the packaging which I have to say looks darker than the other Warcraft Figure Series we've seen. As you can see on the back the Pandaren Brewmaster: Chen Stormstout is part of Warcraft Figures Series 6 as the Deluxe Action Figure.
The inlay reminds me of the Cataclysm Expansion that's coming up for World of Warcraft.
The action figure form of Sylvanas Windrunner doesn't have any parts that require assembly. All of the accessories and weapons are already attached to her so she's really more of an open and display type of figure.
Like all our World of Warcraft action figure reviews, here's a complete turn around of Sylvanas Windrunner. The whole figure is connected to the stand which I'm kind of worried would deform one day and won't let the figure stand again. But for now it looks like we don't have any problems keeping the figure upright. The posture actually makes it hard for us to view her face but over all she looks great with her crossed legs and bad ass hood.
Here's a closer look at Sylvanas' face. I had to angle the camera a little bit lower because her arm basically covers her face. As you can see the colors are very detailed down to the black lips and bright yellow eyes. I also like the dark shade surrounding her eyes, it really gives her the evil look she's going for. The design and sculpt of the hood looks great and I really like the design lining it.
The armor protecting her shoulders is designed with a mix of
Sylvanas Windrunner wields Sunstrider's Longbow which she got when she became Ranger-General. I was actually expecting it to be a bit bigger but I think they opted to make it slender because of Sylvanas' slim build. It also wouldn't have hurt to put some kind of string or nylon on it to make it look more authentic.
Sylvanas Windrunner is one hell of a sexy Forsaken Queen and I'm glad she didn't decompose when Arthas turned her into an undead. Here's a closer look at her torso which by the way is so smooth and colored just right. Like all rangers she keeps her clothing as light as possible with little to no armor at all. There's a lot of small detail to cover on her breast plate and I'm glad to say that no colors seem to have spilled off where they shouldn't be.
The design of her leggings are fantastic and like her arms the design is very consistent with the left and the right leg. She seems to be wearing leather that's combined with light armor. It's very evident that she still prefers the
I'm really a sucker for the torn costume effect so I really like that her cape has holes in them. It really adds to the authenticity of the design. The cape is blowing to the front which gives the figure a very dramatic pose as if she's on the side of a cliff or somewhere elevated.
The stand looks great but I really can't figure out why they always have to have skulls lying around each time they include the ground. It's not like people would just leave heads lying around the place right? Anyway the shoes are very lady like and I can't help but wonder how she runs with those on. The heels are steep and would probably be able to stab anyone she kicks. Like all her clothing and armor the design of the shoes are very consistent with the theme of the entire figure. I really like that the armor plates don't cover the entire leg as it would have been really heavy.
The Forsaken Queen: Sylvanas Windrunner action figure is probably my favorite Warcraft figure to date. With her simple posture, great design and details not to mention a very sexy physique and a bad ass class of her own she really blows us away. I'm glad that we didn't see anything disappointing because a big name figure like her should only have the best.
Update: She wasn't a Night Elf she was a High Elf. Thanks vimmryan!

Excellent review!
Sylvanas and Grom Hellscream are my favorite Warcraft characters. I was prety sure this would be my favorite figure and it is. I like the new Cataclysm background also, Deathwing!
On her stomach there is a vertical line going through her belly button. I think that is where Arthas stabbed her in Warcraft III. I believe she was a High Elf though.
wow...they did make some changes to the original design! the face turned out much cuter..but the eyes went from red to yellow~!? whatever...I'm gonna paint mine red!
@vimmryan - you're right, she is or was a High Elf. I'll make the adjustments. Thanks!
I never really noticed the line on her belly button until you mentioned it and I think you're right. I just wish they turned it into a more prominent scar (if that's what it really is).
@jonathan - I really like the yellow eyes rather than red. It feels more undead to me.
@vimmryan - The line going through her belly button is just the separation of her abdominal muscles.
Great review man. Just wanna ask a quick question. Is she leaning to the back? Because from the side view, it looks like she's leaning to the back. Thanks!
@albert - nope, I think she looks that way because she has one foot forward. Kinda like a model pose if you ask me. =)
@Jab - That's a relief. Still waiting for your Thrall review. ^_^
Thanks.
@albert - Thanks! I'm sorry about the delay though. I've been swamped with work lately. But I'll try to post it as soon as I can.
are the ears made of a soft rubbery material?
@anonymous - nope. it's made of the same material as the body. You can hardly bend it.
This figure is almost impossible to find. Even the Blizzard doesn't have them in stock anymore :(
Can anyone tell me where I can still get this figure? All the stores say they've run out of Sylvanas figures :/
i want this figure, where can i buy one.. please help me.. ^^
is it still available at datablitz???
@Anonymous - I think it's going to be hard to find this figure anywhere... You might want to try and call datablitz branches near you... or try ebay Philippines...
