Wargaming Acquires Bigworld

Award-winning game developer and publisher Wargaming is really going for the big push with it's recent acquisition of BigWorld Pty Ltd. In case you haven't heard, BigWorld is an Australian based company that provides platforms for MMO developers around the world. Which means Wargaming is poised to bring out more games in the Massively Multiplayer Online space. It's not as if Wargaming's not already successful with it's World of Tanks game among other titles they have coming out of the pipeline. Wargaming Acquires BigWorld

Acquisition Solidifies Wargaming’s MMO Dominance And Future Expansion Wargaming, the award-winning online video game developer and publisher, announced that it has acquired BigWorld Pty Ltd, an Australian-based middleware company providing reliable high-end platforms for developers of massively multiplayer online games and virtual worlds.

The acquisition will allow Wargaming to consolidate its position as a leading publisher in the free-to-play market and expand its opportunities for further development in the industry as well as explore new platform possibilities.
