Super Mario Bros. Papercraft Is Probably Worth A Lot Of Patience

Thursday, July 15, 2010

Super Smash Bros. Papercraft

It looks like a lot of things are getting sculpted with paper nowadays, which I think is a good thing if we always get the same quality as this Super Smash Bros. Papercraft. I'm not sure how these guys do it but I'm pretty sure it involves a lot of glue and a lifetime of patience which I probably lost when I tried to take on a sodoku puzzle and never ever got any of it back. I'd probably end up with pieces of unrecognizable paper mesh before I even dream of completing my very own Super Mario Bros. paper sculpture so for now let's just envy other people's great skill namely TouchFuzzyGetDizzy.

Super Mario Bros. Chess Cake! Don't Play With Your Food!

Wednesday, June 30, 2010

Making a Super Mario Bros. Chess Set is awesome on it's on but when you turn it into a cake that's really taking it to another level. Anafuji over at deviantART really should find a way to mass produce this stuff to make some serious dough and by dough I mean money not the one's you use to make cake. Or do they use dough on cakes? I Really wouldn't know since I don't have any baking skills. Details say everything on the cake is edible including the figures. Now I'm sure I saw a Super Mario Bros. Chess Set somewhere around the net but this one looks colorful enough to encourage kids to play chess. I don't think I'd have the heart to cut this cake though. It's too beautiful to eat.

Super Mario Bros. FAIL!

Tuesday, June 29, 2010

Admit it! One way or another we've tried to see if Mario can be impaled on that damn flag pole. Now if I can only print this on a t-shirt...

Super Mario Bros Wall Decal Is the Easiest Way to Geek Out Your Wall

Monday, June 21, 2010

We've always admired rooms customized to look more like the stuff we adore. But it's so much hassle and hard work our little geek hands and budget can afford. Now thanks to UrbanOutfitters we can at least avoid all the manual labor with decorating our walls. The Super Mario Bros. Wall Decals sell for USD 75.00 or somewhere around PHP 3,500 here on our side of the world. Everything seems fairly easy to install and would definitely shave off a couple of hours from painting the designs yourself and I'm betting they're pretty easy to remove just in case you want to upgrade to something fresh and grow up. I got a couple more shots after the break if you're still interested.

Super Mario Bros. Playing Cards Will Keep The Gambling Geeky

Tuesday, June 08, 2010

Me and my friends recently got into playing poker. Although we don't gamble until we lose each other's house we still try to have fun with it. So while going around the net I happened to have come across these great Super Mario Bros. themed playing cards. These type of cards would really need to be on a Mario addicts collection if he wants to sleep well at night. It would really up the geek gambling cred if there's such a thing. I really like how the Ace of Spades has the Star Power Up designed on it. And we all know what a Joker Bowser really is. Get ready to grab a set around July. Each set will get you around ¥1,050 or around PHP 600.00 around these parts which is too much for a non-Mario collecting geek like me. Check out another one based on Super Mario 2 with all the pixelated goodness after the jump.

Super Mario Themed Room Is Out To Make Geeks Green With Envy

Wednesday, June 02, 2010

Okay, my room officially sucks now! This Super Mario themed room is designed by artist Antoinette J. Citizen, and she made it look exactly like the first level of Super Mario Bros. They say she made it in the name of art and having fun, but I know all she wants is for us geeks to go green with envy and feel sorry for our plain old vanilla rooms. All the bricks are in 3D and the walls are pixelated just like the game, and to top it off you even have sound effects inside the room. I wonder when we'll be seeing a Silent Hill themed room or even Dead Space? More images after the break.

Your Kids Are Too Young To Understand The Sheer Awesomeness Of Super Mario Bros. Themed Cakes

Wednesday, May 26, 2010

Birthdays are great because you get cakes all around and if you're a really great kid with great geeky parents more often than not you're gonna get something like a Super Mario themed cake, like the one on the left. I've been seeing a lot of these around the net lately and it got me thinking, do kids these days even know who Mario is? They don't even know what a cassette tape is! So should geeky parents go through all the trouble of making or ordering a specialized cake their kids won't even understand? Or is it really up to the kids? I guess parents just do it to look cool and snazzy. Don't get me wrong here, I love these Mario themed cakes. I even have a couple more after the break.

Super Mario Crossover Is 8-Bit Gaming For The Win!

Monday, May 03, 2010

Here's one for the retro gamers out there. If you love all the old school Nintendo games from the 90's you're in for a treat with this nifty and entertaining flash game from exploding-rabit. The game features the first ever Mario Game landscape with different Nintendo characters bashing their way through turtles and goombas. It's 8-bit gaming with a twist. It's a cool way to reminisce and a fun time waster if you have lots of it. Check the source links to set those goombas on fire!

Do It Yourself Mario Shelf Is Geek Design At It's Best

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

Neatoramanaut Dennis and his girlfriend Judith shared some photos of the great work they did for their apartment. I can't begin to say how awesome this Mario inspired shelf is, not to mention the beautiful warp pipe replica on the side. Everything here is made from scratch except for the Mario, Luigi and Mushroom figures which were store bought. This would be a great design concept for a kid's room or maybe a nursery but either way it's making my room look old and dreary. Check the break for a bigger image and try not to feel bad about your own room.

Mario's Closet is a Test of Your Mario Geekiness

Friday, January 29, 2010

Remember all those version of Mario games we played growing up? Know all the modes Mario gets into when he eats something? What does he wear when he eats a leaf? The image after the break shows you the different outfits he gets into. If you can identify everything in the closet you're a certified Mario geek.
